About Us — Russian Voices for Peace
Who We Are
Russian Voices for Peace (РГМ / 平和を願うロシア語の声) is a voluntary association of Russian-speaking people in Japan, founded in September 2025 in Tokyo.
We are a community united by language and the desire to create. Our members are those who oppose violence and war, who believe in the power of culture, dialogue, and mutual aid. We provide a space where people can be heard, receive support, and contribute to the common cause of peace.
Our Mission
We aim to show that the Russian language is a language of culture, humanism, and creation. Through cultural events, humanitarian aid, and educational projects, we work to strengthen mutual understanding between people of different nationalities and to support those affected by conflicts and persecution.
What We Do
- Humanitarian aid — support for refugees and those affected by conflicts
- Cultural projects — poetry evenings, exhibitions, and musical gatherings for international dialogue
- Educational programs — lectures and seminars on human rights and democratic values
- Legal and psychological support — assistance for Russian-speaking residents of Japan
Our Values
- Peace and non-violence — we consistently stand against war and aggression
- Humanity — every person deserves respect and support
- Openness — we welcome everyone who shares our values, regardless of origin
- Democracy — decisions are made collectively, every member's voice matters
- Confidentiality — we protect the personal data and privacy of our members
